Growing School garden resource wins another prestigious award!

The winners of the 2009 IVCA Awards were revealed on Friday 27 March at the ceremony at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London, where Gold, Silver and Bronze winners were awarded across 30 different categories including e-learning.

The event was compered by Jo Brand who also presented the award to members of the team responsible for developing and creating the resource.

The IVCA Awards are the leading international Awards for corporate communications. The Awards recognise excellence in corporate communications with awards made in 30 categories. The Awards were judged by over 130 respected communications professionals over three weeks.

Marco Forgione, IVCA Chief Executive, said: “The Awards dinner on Friday evening was a wonderful celebration of the very best in the industry. We saw the incredible power and creativity of the industry, its ability to establish meaningful emotional engagement with audiences. The standard of entries this year was extremely high and I know from judging that the Gold Winners set an incredible standard.”

Description: An interactive resource built around the garden that won Gold and best in show at the 2006 Hampton Court Flower Show. A virtual interactive garden to highlight the value of teaching and learning outside the traditional classroom and to reflect the aims of the DCSF’s Learning Outside the Classroom Manifesto by informing, encouraging and inspiring the development of a vivid and imaginative outdoor curriculum in schools around the UK. Intended as an exciting journey for teachers into the wonderful world of the outdoors.
