Write for a Renewable World
The Renewable World website takes an innovative approach to a cutting-edge subject, introducing students to the use of renewable materials and showing how these can contribute to creating a more sustainable future.
One important element of the website is a selection of teaching materials from schools showing how they are using this topic area to teach a range of curriculum subjects in a novel and engaging way.
We are looking for teachers who are interested in this subject area, and are willing to share their enthusiasm and expertise by developing more curriculum-linked materials based on the Renewable World. These might be in the form of lesson plans or case studies, and could be cross curricular, or link to specific curriculum subjects. There is funding available to pay a modest fee for the work, which would have to be completed by the end of August 2009.
If you think you may be interested, please take a look at the website (www.renewableworld.org.uk), and the existing teaching materials, then contact Rosemary Ward at rosemarykward@aol.com with your ideas.
The Renewable World is managed by FACE (Farming and Countryside Education) on behalf of DCSF
