Schools need to work in partnership with a community group to be eligible, unless applying for the ew approaches to learning fund: Devising, testing and disseminating new approaches to teaching and learning that address current and future challenges in state schools and pre-schools. 

Main priorities include the preservation of the countryside and wildlife, and reconciling the needs of the environment and the economy.
